It's quite possible that we will see some reporters camped out in front of this home late Thursday night. Latest: Lieberman is out. Kay B. Hutchison was never really in the running despite all the reports. The other candidate being talked about as "one of the top two" is indeed, still in consideration.
But it's increasingly looking like there's a very good chance that our initiatial reports here at LR Blog on who the VP nominee may be, have been on target.
Our source indicates that the choice will not be known until tomorrow morning or "very late tonight." And if our source is correct, libertarian Republicans will be quite pleased with the choice.
The key tip-off will be "activity outside the xxxxxx home" in the coming hours.
Of course, we will give you more hints throughout the day as they are made available to LR Blog.
UPDATE!

"He understands the domestic economy," Martinez said. "He's extremely good at something where McCain is looking for some help, and he has ability to raise money."
Martinez said he thinks Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is running close behind Romney...
Drudge is reporting that the name could be leaked tonight at 8 pm, or even as early as 6 pm est.

Our source is indicating that Pawlenty is still very much in the running. And that Meg Whitman and in a switch, Joe Lieberman are in, as well.

your house Eric? ;)
Romney makes most sense except for he being rich along with McCain, and the Dems are amazingly, 4 yrs removed from Kerry/Edwards, going Class Warfare again.
Romney would be a great choice. They can deal with the Class Warfare attacks.
I look at image more so than anything else. McCain, while a handsome devil in his younger days, is anything but a good looking guy at 72. He has not aged well.
Romney looks great! And that's precisely what we need to balance off McCain's less-than-handsome TV image.
I wish Thompson looked more like Romney for appearance sake, he could really get the base riled up and take it to the Dems at the same time.
if Romney can actually deliver Mich., he should be picked however. If not, maybe not.
