On October 31, 2006, I released a column titled When 51-49 becomes 49-51 in which I stated, “Nearly every American senses a horrific problem on the horizon. But due to massive amounts of disinformation, few know the cause or can see what, if anything, to do about it.”

Four days later, American voters tossed Republicans from congressional power and handed both houses of congress back over to Democrats, who had previously controlled them for forty years. Americans overlooked the reality that most of what has gone wrong in America over the last one hundred years went wrong while Democrats controlled congress.

The federal budget has only been balanced once in more than sixty years, during Clinton’s second administration, while Republicans controlled both houses of congress. Despite all historical facts, 51-49 had become 49-51 during the 2006 mid-term elections and it was only going to get worse in 2008.

Democrats Started Dismantling America in 1913

Under Democrat President Woodrow Wilson and a Democrat controlled House and Senate, two very important constitutional amendments passed that would mark the beginning of the end for America.

Amendment XVI

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

Prior to the passage of this amendment, tax on personal income was deemed “unconstitutional” by our nations Founders. The Founders knew it was a tax on people’s labors, invasive and intrusion to both “privacy” and the unalienable right to individually “pursue happiness.” They also knew that it would mark the beginning of an era when government would “waste the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them;” just as Thomas Jefferson had warned.

Amendment XVII

“The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each state shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the state legislatures. - When vacancies happen in the representation of any state in the Senate, the executive authority of such state shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, that the legislature of any state may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct. This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.”

The Founders established that state legislatures would elect members of the U.S. Senate to represent state rights and interests, as could only be defined by state governments, specifically, each states legislative body.

Article I – Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution states; - “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.”

But the 17th Amendment ended states rights in 1913, by ending state representation in the U.S. Senate, reducing that body to a second “peoples House” elected by the people instead of state governments.

Since 1913

Once Democrats ended individual economic liberty with the passage of the 16th Amendment, and states rights with the passage of the 17th Amendment, they were free to run roughshod over all individual rights deemed inconsistent with the concept of a “greater common good.”

In 1920, proud communist Roger Baldwin formed a “civil rights” organization that would later become known as the ACLU, or the American Civil Liberties Union.

Democrats and liberal academic elites from institutions like Harvard and Columbia Universities heralded Baldwin as some champion of “civil liberties.” This remains true today in 2008.

Yet Baldwin himself was quite clear about the motives and agenda of his so-called “civil rights” agency... “I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”

Together, leftists in control of the 20th Century Democrat Party, the ACLU, the news room and academia, continued to silently strip Americans of their fundamental rights.

Almost One Hundred Years Later

* The unalienable right to life - Gone with Roe vs. Wade!
* The unalienable right to individual liberty - Replaced with a greater common good!
* The unalienable right to pursue happiness - Gone with the XVI Amendment and oppressive punitive taxation.
* Free speech - Gone with political correctness, replaced with socially acceptable speech.
* Free religious expression - Gone with a new freedom from public religious expression.
* States rights - Gone with the XVII Amendment.

In the name of “civil rights,” Americans have systematically been stripped of their rights. Rights that the Founders established as “unalienable,” have been infringed upon by leftists. Yet somehow, many 21st Century Americans still think that Democrats are the “party of the people,” defenders of civil liberties and individual rights.... Even the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was opposed by 35% of congressional Democrats, who controlled congress at the time. It passed only because it was supported by 81% of Republicans.

Today, 95% of the black vote goes to Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In 2008, 68% of the “youth vote” went to Barack Hussein Obama. Neither would be true had either known anything about history. Now they must learn history the hard way.

The 2008 Election

The 2008 electorate shifted even further left in the 46-52 election of Democrat Barack Hussein Obama, factually speaking, the most far left member of today’s U.S. Senate.

Obama openly ran his campaign on the concept of federal “redistribution of private wealth.” That’s a Marxist concept of free federal stuff for all, not American principles of freedom.

Even after known liberal TV news anchor Charlie Gibson embarrassed Barack Obama in a primary debate, by forcing him to concede that federal tax revenues go up every time capital gains taxes are lowered, and go down every time they are increased, Obama continued to state that he would raise capital gains taxes anyway. Why?

Because according to Marxists like Obama, “it’s only fair” that investors be penalized for their success. Even though penalizing investors will drive them from the markets, reduce productivity, increase unemployment and kill free market retail sales, thereby reducing federal tax revenue, it is only “fair” that successful people, “the rich,” be penalized for their “greed.”

This is a concept born under Wilson in 1913 and advanced under FDR’s New Deal some thirty years later, when Americans began to look openly to the federal government as their personal nanny.

Looking Forward

The “proletariat” (hourly working class) is now in full control of all three branches of the federal government, the White House, the legislative branch and the judicial branch, just as Marx has envisioned. What Democrats started almost a hundred years ago in 1913, will be finished under Democrat (proletariat union) control beginning in 2009. America is in its final hour.

Free political speech will be silenced under a Democrat initiative called “the fairness doctrine.” Obama had more than a 2 to 1 financial (media) advantage over McCain in the 2008 election and not a single congressional Democrat was at all concerned with “equal” air-time for John McCain.

Liberals like Al Franken and Thom Hartmann have tried desperately to compete in the open market with conservative talk radio and failed miserably. Since liberals are unable to compete in the open market place of ideas, they seek to silence conservatives by forcing “equal time” laws, even though few will tune in to listen to the same leftist message we can get from any “main stream” news outlet today.

A leftist press is what makes conservative talk radio so popular. Without a leftist press, we’d have no need for conservative talk radio or the “new media” online.

Two Very Important Public Reactions

Two very noticeable public reactions to the news that Democrats will control everything in Washington DC have occurred.

First, the massive retreat of private investors from the stock market, leaving 401k retirement plans holding a bag worth at best 50% of what it was worth a year ago.

Second, a 500% increase in fire arms and ammunition sales since the election. Gun and ammunition manufacturers can not keep up with massive public demand for private arms ownership.

The Blood of Patriot and Tyrants

Like it or not, America is on the verge of a history making event and I’m not referring to the election of its first “black” president.

America is either on the verge of complete collapse, or it is on the verge of a second civil war. Maybe it’s on the verge of both...

66 million Americans ignored all relevant facts concerning the most unqualified individual ever to seek the Oval Office and elected him anyway. They bought into the sales scam of undefined “change.” The pig they bought in that poke is nothing new at all. It’s a third Clinton Administration and nothing more.

But 56 million Americans voted against Obammunism and that’s who is retreating from the markets and stocking up on guns and ammo in record numbers. They are preparing to protect their earned property, by force if need be.

Will Push Come to Shove?

With Obama’s appointment of a third Clinton administration and his promise to “take from some and give to others,” the answer to this question seems more a matter of when than if. Americans are certainly preparing for just such an event.

So is Obama... with his mandatory civil service and a new federal police force to rival the power of the U.S. military. Americans have clearly chosen sides in what may become an internal conflict second to none in American history and it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with skin color.

Whether or not push comes to shove depends more on Obama than anyone else. If he chooses to keep many anti-American promises that got him elected, furthering the Democrats' march into global socialism, then push will come to shove pretty quickly. Passing new infringements upon second amendment rights and further attacking the “unalienable” right to life, liberty and happiness, could ignite a firestorm of reaction across the country.

Like 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006, the 2008 election map is almost completely red on a county by county basis. Democrats are elected by a handful of high population metro centers which hold a very different view of American life than the balance of the nation, which is mostly suburban and rural.

If Democrats were content to manage their urban challenges within the confines of those blue counties alone, red county Americans would simply live outside of those areas. But Democrats are not content with “self-governance.” They hope to force their will upon all Americans and that’s where the rubber will meet the road.

As Thomas Jefferson pointed out quite clearly, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Nobody knows this better than red county Americans who take their individual rights very seriously. Blue city Americans may soon find out just how seriously... They can continue to wreck their cities if they like. But when they try to force those insane policies across red county America, I sense that they will find out just how intolerant those Americans are prepared to be.
