The Rightosphere is abuzz this morning with the Ann Coulter Banned! story.
Coulter was rejected as a guest on the NBC Today Show, despite having 5 best sellers. Her new book, just released, is "Guilty: Liberal Victims and their Assault on America."
"The book exposes and mocks, in graphic detail, the media's love affair with all things Democrat and Obama. Coulter presents exhibits A through Z," Drudge noted.
She was originally invited to appear, but a Network Exec, nixed her booking at the last minute, and replaced her with Hollywood jetsetter and gossipist Perez Hilton. Blogger Hilton, has in the past, called for Coulter to be "pied in the face" for her "bigoted" and supposedly "anti-Gay" views.
From WND:
The "Today" show source told Drudge the network is "just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now."

Editor's Comment - I guess this means me and the staff here at LR Blog will also be banned from NBC, given our often critical remarks about Obama. And our top columnist JB Williams might as well, just take a big black magic marker, and scratch the network off his Agent's morning list for cold calls.
Though, we might still be able to squeeze our Ombudsmen Stefan Van Rooyer on the show. That is, of course, if Stefan is willing to donn some pink jammies?

The voice of reason must be silenced. Insanity has gripped the world.
Well perhaps you can make it up to her by getting her on Libertarian politics Live, thats a lot better than NBC anyway.
Who in hell watches NBC, especially the Today Show?
Gotta admit, the pic of Annie on her new book "Guilty"looks pretty damn hot!
I agree with Jim. Politics live needs a good update anyway.
Ann Coulter is a real treat, smart and misunderstood by many.
Eric, you imply I'm pink. The only thing pink with me is my very light/fair and sensitive skin, that can never tan any darker color, only red. Maybe I should buy a pink thai silk jacket with a white shirt and white or black shoes for the NBC interview. That may get attention!
Believe me, I would criticize Obama diplomatically (other than Coulter) and smartly, intellectually and rip him apart with arguments, more profound than any emotional "right winger", so they cannot risk this....
stefan - your rant about "emotional right wingers" betrays your inner commie.
Ann Coulter’s book is not outrageous. She is part of the neo-con, zionist machine. Her books are not controversial, they are neo-con wet dreams. Read a book that’s actually been banned like “America Deceived”, not a corporate-approved Coulter ‘novel’. Don’t waste your hard-earned money on Coulter.
Last link (before Google Books bends to gov’t Will and drops the title):
America Deceived (book)
she really needs to get that adams apple looked at.

Super classy!
Since when is Ann Coulter a neocon? I always thought of her as a Reagan Conservative.
Hey Craig, try moving your right hand a little closer towards the bridge of your dreadnaught, and loosen up your left wrist so you can stop depending on your thumb for stability. Both adjustments will give you a better tone and more flexibility to reach for extended chords so you can harmonize your melody (think Chet). The changes can't promise a growth of an adams apple, to remove all doubt though.
"Neocon" is simply an epithet designed to shut off debate instantly. The left prefers the tactics of "lets shout down our opponents instead of debating with them".
Alex,

See how that works, yet?
William,
Evidently, Coulter thinks NBC is popular enough for her to want to be a guest there. Too bad they didn't want her as much as she wanted them. I'm sure she'll be just fine, though.
I saw Coulter speak a couple years ago at a Theological Seminary actually, was $50 bucks a ticket. She was great and hilarious, if political and hate the left its as good as any comedian.
She's a Reagan conservative through and through....very smart. Many don't realize she has a Constitutional law background. someone asked her about the paultard, it was a nice reaction to say the least. after ripping him, she mentioned that Buchanan was much more honest and worth following if going the paleo route, which she is not.
actually NBC has re-scheduled Coulter after this, which makes them look bad.
now, if we can ever get ABC to release the "Path to 9/11" docudrama that Clinton had censored, we'll be getting somewhere.
Well, I guess there's a sort of happy ending to this saga after all.
Now the ratings for her appearance will be sky high through the roof.
And Stefan, you considering those pink jammies? If it's a go, I'll alert JB's press agent, to see if we can book you on, as LR's Rep.
Alas, I have been exposed as a commie by Alex.... only Alex can see through me, he knows me so good! Alex, you are also the first one in the world to call me a commie, that is while I previously said I liked the sentiment of a general who said he only communicates to a commie through the barrel of a gun.
I've concluded bint is a psychopath and will not discuss anything more with it.
Eric, LOL yes. Good that we can have some fun.
stefan - I've concluded you are just a misguided communist. However you seem to have a slight sense of humor, so you aren't a psychopath like bint.
Ann Coulter......please!!!
She tries to blame Charles Darwin for all the evils in the 20th Century.
What a wackjob!
How in 2009, people can deny the relevence of Darwinian theory is beyond me.
Alex
I've concluded Alex is a lolcow and I will now proceed to laugh at it.
Thanks, bro!
I can't believe you posted a picture of your blogger doppelganger, Eric!:

Yeah Rae, well at least he's got a hot chic on his arm. On that, Perez and I have something in common.
