Contract not Renewed by Cable News Network
The reporter who assailed Tea Party Protesters in Chicago on April 15, has just learned that her contract will not be renewed by CNN. From TVNewser:
Breaking: TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen's contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network.
Roesgen, you'll recall, was criticized for her coverage at the tax day tea parties in April, when she said the event she was covering in Chicago was, "anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox."
Roesgen took a break for a few weeks after that reporting and returned to the air in May covering the Drew Peterson arrest. Most recently, she covered Michael Jackson's death from Los Angeles. Roesgen joined CNN in 2005.
When TVNewser asked whether Roesgen's comments at the Chicago tea party rally had anything to do with her not being renewed, a CNN spokesperson said, "I can't comment on personnel matters."

WOO HOO!!! The way that woman acted at the April 15 tea party was inexcusable. Her job was to report, not to give her personal commentary. That may be the first smart move CNN has made in a long time (if ever).
After spending a little time with her family, she will be hired by MSNBC.
WHOOP!!! Made my day.
I'm thinking that they'd have her back in a heart-beat IF their limp budgets could manage it. CNN is a fiscal disaster area. Roesgen is just so much budget overhead being axed to save sorry corporate butt.
That's the great thing about Libertarians, they're all 110% on the internet and as some may/may not know CNN prides itself on its online services. Amazingly arrogant they are: they none the less do try to keep their online community going because they can still say they're the "largest news service" (you know, better then News Corp) because they throw in their online appeal.
It's weird, but undoubtably had to do with Libertarian online activism.
